88th Draw Result for Bangladesh Bank 100 Taka Prize Bond – 31 July 2017 – www.bb.org.bd

The 88th Draw for Bangladesh Bank 100 Taka Prize Bond was held and published on 31 July 2017.

Prize Bond (PB) is a form of savings of Bangladesh Bank (BB) and it is interest-less bond. A total of 2208 prizes announced for 48 series of the prize bonds. In each series there 46 prizes. The lottery is commenced on every three months by Bangladesh Bank.

Prize Bond is a form of savings scheme offered by Bangladesh Bank, Central banl of Bangladesh, without any interest. As pre predefined rule Prize Bond  Draw (Lottery ) held on every three months interval (January 31, April 30, July 30, October 31 of every year).  Up to July 31, 2017 a total 88 prize bond lottery was held so far. Tk100 prize bond are divided in different series. There are a total 45 series so far and each series has 46  prizes i.e. each series has 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th prizes. In order that a bond is to be included in the draw, it must be purchased before at least two months of the draw date. Number of Prize Bond is every series 10 lacs. The claims for prizes can be lodged within two years after draw. As per rule 20% tax will be deducted from prize bond prize money.

Details Prize money in every series and every draw:

  1. 1st Prize – Tk. 6,00,000/- 1 for each series
  2. 2nd Prize – Tk. 3,25,000/- 1 for each series
  3. 3rd Prize – Tk. 1,00,000/- 2 for each series
  4. 4th Prize – Tk. 50,000/- 2 for each series
  5. 5th Prize – Tk. 10,000/- 40 for each series

Total 46 prizes for each series.

Previous Prize Bond Results:

68.91% passed in HSC and equivalent exams 2017, Bangladesh

Total 68.91% students passed in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations across the country which is 5.79% points lower than previous year. Among them, 37,726 examinees obtained GPA 5 (A+).

Around 10:30am, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over a copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka. Total 66.84 percent students passed this year’s HSC examinations with 33,242 students obtaining GPA-5. The pass rates in madrasa and technical boards are respectively 77.20 and 81.33 percent. The pass rate is 70.28 percent under Barisal education board, 65.44 percent under Dinajpur board and 71.30 percent under Rajshahi board.



Later, the minister will formally announce the results at 1:00pm at a press briefing.

Tapan Kumar Sarker, examination controller at Dhaka Education Board, yesterday said the results will be published simultaneously from respective centres or colleges and online at 1:30pm.

Institution-based result sheet has to be downloaded through entry of EIIN of respective educational institution from www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd.

Students can also collect their results from www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, result corner of www.educationboard.gov.bd and website of respective education board.

Last year, the combined pass rate in 10 education boards, including madrasa and technical boards, was 74.70 percent, 5.1 percentage points higher than that of previous year.
